Radio is a continuous flood of music, commercials and news. However, there is hardly anyone out there who knows what exactly has been broadcast; anyone, that is, except us.

At SoundAware, we analyse everything: we keep track of commercial breaks, the real start and finish times of radio and television programmes, their content, and much more. We know what songs are being played, how often, and by whom.

However, it doesn’t end there. We can also let companies know when their brands are being talked about, who’s talking about them and whether what is being said is neutral, positive or negative. In fact, our database holds an accurate and complete transcript of every conversation broadcast over the airwaves.

Radio stations plan their commercial breaks based on their advertisers’ preferences and advertisers want to make sure that their ads are indeed being broadcast as agreed upon. To make sure this happens, SoundAware uses innovative software to analyse and index radio programmes. We deliver our findings to both the radio stations and the advertisers on a daily basis, as per our commission from the Nationaal Luister Onderzoek (NLO), the Dutch National Listening Research Centre.
